The Importance of Having a Spanish Dictionary at Your Fingertips

Looking for a Spanish dictionary that you can rely on? Well, there are hundreds of good ones out there. The best ones I have found are:

Type a phrase or a word from the search bar above into the search box to get its exhaustive definition in a Spanish dictionary. The Word reference English-Spanish dictionary is an excellent, free online dictionary. It has over 130,000 words and 250,000 entries in both English and Spanish, which continues to improve and grow. You can even download the Word reference app for your android phone to browse through its huge vocabulary! You can also use the free dictionary that comes with your android smartphone.

For language learning, using a Spanish dictionary is absolutely essential to help you learn Spanish fast and correctly. You will be amazed at how much the learning process is made easier by using an online Spanish dictionary. If you know Spanish already, you will find the fact that you can use this free online Spanish dictionary as a bonus, because it will give you access to new words and meanings every now and then. Learning Spanish fast using a free online Spanish dictionary is one of the easiest ways to do it, especially for beginners.

Fluentu is another one of my favorite Spanish language dictionaries. This one offers a premium version that costs $99. However, there are also a free trial version available. And it comes with a list of more than 500 million words in the Spanish language that will greatly help you when you are learning to speak Spanish.

Aside from these online Spanish dictionaries, you should also make sure that you have a good Spanish grammar book. One of my personal favorites is the Nari publication which is widely regarded as one of the most comprehensive grammar books. It has a lot of interactive exercises and it even includes audio exercises that will help improve your reading skill. Another great Spanish grammar book that I highly recommend is the Learn Spanish Like Crazy by Antonio Vazquez. This book is more focused on vocabulary and verb strategies rather than the rules of grammar. It will help you become fluent in all aspects of the Spanish language and is an excellent choice if you plan on going to Spain or other Latin American countries.

You should also try to gather some Spanish vocabulary cards that you can study. You can find these cards at any bookshop in Spanish or you could search for them online. Study these vocabulary cards every after you have finished studying your Spanish dictionary. These cards will make it easier for you to memorize long and unfamiliar names, greetings, numbers, etc.
